Thousands of applicants have chosen their specialty this year. The hottest phase of the introductory campaign lasted from 13 to 22 August. It is known that over a million applications have been submitted for bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
The most popular specialties for entrants in 2020
There were more than 191 thousand graduates this year. This is 25 thousand more than last year. It is possible to submit only five applications for the state order and unlimited for the contract. There are about 5,5 applications to universities per one applicant.
Specialties are included in the TOP only change their place in this list. The most applications were submitted for the specialty ‘The law’. There are 116 thousand. The management specialization ranks second place with 92 thousand applications. The next are ‘ The philology’, ‘The computer science’ and ‘The secondary education’. ‘The economics’ and ‘The software engineering’ are very popular in recent years. There are in the sixth and seventh positions respectively.
The applicants are increasingly interested in computer professions. Such a large number of applications suggests these specialties are relevant and promising.
The best universities of Ukraine by the number of applications in 2020
The two most popular universities in Ukraine have been constantly competing with each other in the last decade. These are the Shevchenko and Sikorsky universities. The Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv won against its closest competitor by a margin of ten thousand applications this year.

• Lviv Polytechnic University
• Kiev Aviation University
